Distracted Driving
It Can Wait Distracted Driving Simulator:
Students interact with some of the most common in-car distractions such phone calls, texting, navigation systems, music, and social media apps. Traffic violations and erratic behaviors are monitored and displayed in real time. Common driving violations include swerving, running stop signs or signal lights, making wrong turns, driving in the bike or center lanes, and hard braking are all measured and reported on screen, demonstrating the difficulty of driving while distracted or impaired by drugs and alcohol.
VDI’s distracted driving programs have been used for over a decade by law enforcement, hospitals, insurance companies and other non-profits with measurable results.
