CPR / First Aid


The Henry County Health Center offers the following American Heart Association CPR and First Aid training:

Family and Friends CPR

This is a CPR training course that does not provide CPR certification. Participants will be trained on proper CPR techniques. You will not receive a certification card but you will know how to properly perform CPR when you leave this class. (Training time – 2 hours)

Heartsaver CPR and AED

This is a CPR training course that provides “certification”.  Participants will be trained on proper CPR techniques and how to use an AED. You will receive an AHA certification card for this training. (Training time – 2.5 hours)

Heartsaver First Aid

This is a First Aid course that provides “certification”. Participants will be trained on how to respond to a variety of injuries. You will receive an AHA certification card for this training. (Training time – 3 hours)

Pediatric First Aid

This course is primarily focused on day care providers. It meets all the requirements of the state of Missouri. You will receive an AHA certification card for this training. (Training time – 3 hours)

BLS CPR

The BLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Includes a written exam.

Class size is a minimum of six and a maximum or eight. There is a fee for each class and also a setup fee for off-site classes.
